Introduction to Business Sustainability provides an overview of the fundamental concepts and definitions of business sustainability. Participants will gain knowledge on the leading frameworks and principles of sustainability including: The Natural Step, Natural Capitalism, The 'Triple Bottom Line', Product Life-Cycle and Biomimicry. Key historical events of the sustainability movement will be introduced so participants understand the evolution of sustainability in business.
In order for businesses to be successful at implementing sustainability, participants will learn the components of building a business case and return on investment (ROI) along with understanding current consumer market and trends. They will also gain insight on the various areas that affect sustainability in business and learn practical examples of companies that have been successful implementing sustainability in their organizations.
